How We Make Money
Most of our revenue comes from affiliate partnerships with coop manufacturers and retailers, including Easy Coops, Rita Marie’s Chicken Coops, OverEZ, the Chicken Coop Company, and Amazon Associates. When you click a link on this site and buy something, we may earn a percentage of that sale. These commissions come out of the retailer’s margin, not your price — you pay the same amount whether you use our link or go directly to the retailer.
Editorial Independence
- A coop’s Coop Score is set before we know, or regardless of, whether we have an affiliate relationship with the brand.
- We buy most units we test at full price. When a manufacturer provides a unit for testing, we say so on that review.
- We list weaknesses and “who should skip it” sections on every review, even for brands we’re affiliated with.
